Turn a long video into a useful short
Find one complete thought. Give it enough room to land.
Find the moment
Mark a clear answer, practical lesson, or surprising observation in your recording. Listen to the surrounding context before choosing boundaries; a strong sentence alone may not be a fair excerpt.
Shape the edit
Remove unnecessary setup without removing the reason the idea matters. Start where a new viewer can understand the topic and end after the thought resolves. Keep speaker changes and important visual references intelligible.
Check the small screen
Frame the relevant subject, leave room for captions, and keep text away from likely interface overlays. Preview at the actual size people will watch, with and without sound.
Publish responsibly
Confirm rights to the recording, music, and people’s likenesses. Correct captions, preserve meaning, and avoid titles that overstate what is said. A clear clip can still perform unpredictably; no edit guarantees virality.
