BEST PRACTICES · EDITORIAL GUIDE
Give a short clip a path to the full conversation
A useful short should stand on its own and make the longer recording easy to find.
Choose a question the source really answers
Start with an insight that needs little setup. Keep enough of the question or context for someone encountering the speaker for the first time. Do not remove qualifications that change the meaning.
Make the connection specific
Use a consistent episode title and a clear link to the original recording wherever the publishing platform permits it. Explain what extra context the full version offers; avoid a vague promise to reveal a secret.
Measure the right thing
Track clicks or referral visits separately from short-video views. Use a stated timeframe and compare like-for-like periods. A view is not proof that someone watched the long version, and correlation is not evidence that clipping caused growth.
